About Choose Aftercare, Inc.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide transitional housing, support and empowerment to men with histories of incarceration, homelessness and/or addiction.
Our vision is to provide quality housing with learning and support services that will dramatically transform lives. Choose Aftercare's goal is for residents to break their negative cycles of behavior in order to live healthy, productive and responsible lives. Positively impacting one life at a time will create a ripple effect which protects children, restores families and provides improved safety, hope and a brighter future for our entire community.
Our Vison
It is Choose Aftercare's core belief that all people are intrinsically valuable and that the value of a person is not diminished by incarceration, addiction or poor mental health. Therefore, it is our goal to provide the best possible physical, spiritual and emotional support to individuals at our transition houses. We believe in new beginnings, restored relationships, meaningful work and sobriety. This organization was founded on the belief that pacing one's faith in Jesus Christ provides the ultimate second chance, and we commit to offering hope, purpose and dignity to people of all races, religions and creeds.
Core Values
Our Story
Choose Aftercare was founded in Eau Claire, WI in 2005 to serve our neighbors in need. We offer two houses in the Eau Claire area that provide transitional housing, support, and opportunities for men with histories of incarceration, homelessness and/or addiction.
Choose Aftercare's founders believed in the commandment to "love your neighbors as yourself." Our mission is to intersect with individuals at a critical and vulnerable time of their lives, providing not only housing, but also hope. We understand the unique challenges and needs of our residents and work collaboratively in the community to help them reintegrate into society. We offer dignity and a place to belong to men who have exhausted all of their other options.
Our entire community benefits when our residents avoid homelessness, obtain employment, reconnect with their families, work to overcome substance abuse, and become productive members of society.

Community Impact
Our Contribution

Choose Aftercare's impact goes beyond the individual level. By supporting men with complex backgrounds, we create a ripple effect that benefits the entire community. Our programs protect children, restore families, and enhance safety, hope, and the future for the Chippewa Valley.
